Lowara
was established in 1968 in Montecchio Maggiore, Vicenza. Today the
company has two manufacturing facilities with a production area of
approximately 45,000 square metres and employs about 800 staff.
In
1997 Lowara became part of ITT Industries, a worldwide leader in
the most advanced technologies, with activities in two main fields:
Defence and Electronics and Fluid Technology. The ITT Fluid Technology
division, of which Lowara is part, specialises in the manufacture
of pumps and fluid handling equipment.
Lowara
continues to consolidate and expand its activities in the international
market after having developed its position over the past ten years
with Goulds Pumps, who are now also part of the ITT group.
In
line with the ITT policy of continuous improvement, Lowara continues
to perfect its technology with innovative design solutions and advanced
manufacturing methods, resulting in a range of reliable products
recognised for their quality and efficiency.
The high reliability of the
Lowara products derives from the extensive use of stainless steel
technology. Recently installed laser cutting and welding stations
allow the highest manufacturing efficiency while further improving
the quality of products.
Lowara
was one of the first pump companies in Europe and the first in Italy
to be awarded, in 1994, ISO 9001 Quality Certification for all its
operations.
Lowara
has developed unique expertise in materials, hydraulics, water handling
and control systems, for the benefit of its customers and the satisfaction
of the most varied market demands.
Lowara
plans to continue its investment policy to improve its knowhow,
appreciated and rewarded by the loyalty of its customers.
