design team has years of experience in developing motors for almost
any application, from the toughest to the most sensitive.
Our 'W' range of motors is one of the most technically advanced
available anywhere in the world. Developed from a 2 million research
programme to establish the technology to design and manufacture
high efficiency motors at standard prices, the range enables equipment
designers to provide the long term added value benefits their customers
demand.
In
addition to our standard motors we manufacture customised motors.
These are usually developed with an OEM partner and are for volume
applications.
We
have developed a range of axial airgap motors in industrial sizes.
These flat motors are ideal for applications where space is at a
premium as they have a short axial length
Other
examples are a water cooled motor for a clean room application and
a motor with a special frame which forms part of the driven equipment.
Industrial
ac motors
Our
standard range called 'W' is up to 3% more efficient than other
standard motor ranges and has very low noise levels. Its flexible
design means the terminal box can be positioned top, left or right
hand side. Whether you want motors in lightweight aluminium or robust
cast iron frames, we can meet your needs.
'W'
gained a Queen's Award for Environmental Achievment 1996 for its
energy saving potential and was chosen as a Millennium Product in
1998 for its innovative design.
Our
Fumex range of emergency smoke extract motors is certified by the
relevant UK and French testing authorities. It is installed in enclosed
areas such as high rise buildings, tunnels and shopping malls worldwide.
Our
Monsoon range is designed to withstand extremes of temperature and
humidity such as those found in tropical climates which can cause
untreated motors to deteriorate rapidly.

Variable
speed motors
Our
Variable Speed 'W' (integrated motor and inverter), combines an
efficient, highly adaptable 'W' motor with a purpose designed frequency
inverter. This combination together with the innovative design which
incorporates the inverter into the terminal box, results in a very
compact, efficient and reliable variable speed motor. It is simple
to install and fits in the same space as a conventional motor, therefore
can be retrofitted to an existing piece of equipment.
